These exciting and at the same time state-of-the-art technologies are illuminated in intensive 180-minute DeepDive Sessions by top-class experts of the industry. In small groups you get exclusive and practical insights and can exchange ideas with like-minded people and expand your valuable network.
The DeepDive Sessions are aimed at established companies and startups with an affinity to specific topics and can only be visited by appointment (first come, first serve)! At the bottom of the page you will find our registration form with your desired topics. We will inform you in good time if you have been able to secure a place.
Session 1: DeepDive Smart Factory

Smart Factory, i.e. an “intelligent factory” in which “things” are managed, controlled and optimized as if by magic, is already reality today, and no longer just a vision and animation of a science fiction film set in the distant future. The “Internet of Things”, i.e. the networking of objects and machines with each other, in conjunction with the massively progressive development in the fields of sensors and robotics, makes this possible.
In the Tech DeepDive “Smart Factory” at RuhrSummit 2018 we will discuss options in the areas of predictive maintenance or scrap minimization, philosophize about usable technology and exchange best practices. Experience from experts how exactly that is possible, what is feasible and the unique opportunity to share and discuss questions and opinions with like-minded people.
Session 2: DeepDive IT-Security

IT security has become a critical success factor for many companies and organizations. And rightly so, the demands on security are becoming ever greater and more complex due to the rapid development within the framework of digital transformation processes and the increasing networking of devices.
Within the framework of the RuhrSummit 2018, the latest developments, innovative technologies and trends in the field of cyber security will be taken up in the Tech DeepDive “IT Security”. Discuss with like-minded people, exchange practical experience and receive valuable tips from proven experts!
Session 3: DeepDive VR/AR

Virtual Reality and Augmented Reality have made great progress in recent months and are already being used by numerous companies, e.g. in the fields of Industry 4.0, Operation & Maintenance, or in Human Resources and Marketing. In addition to the possibility of making processes and procedures simpler and more efficient with these technologies, they certainly also have the potential to permanently disrupt existing occupational fields and industries.
In the Tech DeepDive “VR/AR” at RuhrSummit 2018 you can learn how to use this technological opportunity for yourself and your company, which professional fields this can affect and how far the state of development for these technologies is.
Session 4: DeepDive Smart Urban Services / Smart City

The Tech Deep Dive “Smart City” shows the manifold possibilities and potentials of the services and business models in urban space resulting from technology-based changes. Of course, digitisation does not stop at our cities either. In particular, the aim is to make cities more efficient, technologically advanced, greener and/or more socially responsible. These facets are reinforced by a rethinking of the population in things such as mobility, handling the sharing of objects (share economy) and increasing environmental awareness. We are therefore approaching a very exciting, valuable but also very complex topic with enormous potential for the population, the economy and the environment.
In the Tech DeepDive “Smart City” we deal with relevant topics, the status of current possibilities and trends of visionaries in this field. Discuss with the other participants, spin new ideas and possibly even leave the RuhrSummit with the aim of promoting a concrete cooperation with one of the participants.
